POLICE SAY THAT at around 3 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, an unidentified man followed a 38-year-old woman off of the G train at the Bedford-Nostrand subway station, and pursued her for several blocks.
He managed to gain entry into her residential building, near Nostrand Avenue and Clifton Place, and once inside, made a comment about her appearance, before the victim was able to escape into her apartment.
The sought man is described as having a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans and black sneakers, fleeing south on Nostrand.
In a chilling incident in Brooklyn, a woman was stalked from the G train to her apartment building, highlighting ongoing safety concerns for subway riders.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was followed by a man after exiting the G train at the Greenpoint station. Surveillance footage shows the suspect trailing her into her apartment building’s lobby around 11 p.m. Once inside, he grabbed and strangled her from behind as she approached the mailboxes. Despite her attempts to fight back, the attacker eventually released her and fled the scene. The woman was shaken but physically unharmed.
This incident is part of a troubling pattern of subway-related stalking cases in Brooklyn. In another case, a 16-year-old girl was repeatedly followed on the G train by a man over several months. The NYPD released images of the suspect, described as an Asian male in his late 40s, hoping the public could assist in identifying him.
