Frontier Airlines Pilot Arrested and Escorted Off Aircraft by Police in Houston

Frontier Airlines stated in a statement to Business Insider that on Thursday, police arrested a pilot on board an airplane in Houston.

Frontier said in a statement, “Frontier Airlines can confirm that on August 1, 2024, at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH), a crew member was taken into custody by local law enforcement.”

“The activity occurred before the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Forth Worth (DFW),” he said. “A replacement crew member wasn’t available right away, so the flight had to be canceled.” Those customers who were affected could get a full refund, a credit, or a new seat on the next Frontier trip later that night.

The airline also said that affected customers were given a $100 voucher for a trip and places to stay the night “as needed.”

On Saturday morning, video footage came out that seemed to show police leading the pilot off the plane and to a police car.

Business Insider asked the Houston Police Department for comment, but they didn’t reply right away. However, they told a local ABC affiliate that the city’s Department of Public Safety had issued an arrest warrant for the pilot for assaulting a family member.
