The Brownstown and Vera, Illinois areas are seeing severe thunderstorms that are causing heavy rainfall, according to the local police enforcement. It has been raining between 5 and 6 inches so far, and it is anticipated that the rate of rainfall will continue to be between 2 and 3 inches per hour.
Additional rainfall of two to three inches is still possible, which would make the flash flooding conditions that are presently occurring even worse.
