Federal Court Turns Down a Request to Review the Case About the Results of the 2020 Election in Michigan

A request to reopen a case challenging the results of the 2020 election in Michigan was turned down by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

A news report said that the court did not agree with the appeal that was made by lawyers Gregory J. Rohl, Brandon Johnson, Howard Kleinhendler, Sidney Powell, Julia Haller, and Scott Hagerstrom. The lawyers also can’t file any more charges unless the court says they can.

Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a statement, “Any lawyer who knowingly makes false claims in court undermines the rule of law.” “The lawyers who filed this pointless election lawsuit broke their professional duties, and this is just their latest stunt to avoid the consequences they owe the State of Michigan.” I’m glad the Court turned down this pointless attempt to avoid justice.

Nessel said that her office will go after the lawyers to get the money they owe the state in fines. The punishments were given by U.S. District Court Judge Linda Parker in August 2021. She said the lawyers abused the court system by fighting the state’s election results in favor of President Biden.

A group of judges from the Sixth Circuit confirmed Parker’s punishment in June 2023. Also, in April 2024, the Supreme Court refused to hear the penalties again.

There were several recounts in Michigan, and the results showed that Biden won by about 150,000 votes. The Senate Oversight Committee looked into it and found that there was no common or systematic fraud.

Nessel didn’t start a criminal investigation into John Poulos, CEO of Dominion Voting Systems, last month. Poulos appeared before the oversight committee in December 2020.
