A 37-year-old Bradenton woman died in a motorbike crash on Friday evening, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
According to troopers, the incident occurred around 6:38 p.m. on Honore Avenue in Sarasota County’s The Meadows area.
According to FHP, the Bradenton woman was riding south on Honore Avenue as she approached a curve north of Athletes Drive.
Troopers say that’s when she lost control of her motorbike and drove off the road. The Bradenton woman was flung from her bike and hit by a road sign, according to the agency. According to emergency responders, she died at the site.
Troopers observed that woman was wearing a helmet. The collision remained under investigation over the weekend.
