At the first news conference, which took place at 11 a.m., Tony’s close relatives and supporters came together to tell the media about what had happened before his untimely death.

They also talked about a recent request for assistance in performing a second independent autopsy that was made to the Know Your Rights Autopsy Initiative of the Colin Kaepernick Foundation.

According to part of the family’s statement, this day of public witness is both a tribute and a resolute plea for justice, truth, and openness for Tony and other families dealing with similar tragedies.

Tony’s life, legacy, and spirit will be honored with a community tribute and balloon release at 6 p.m., after a second press conference starts at 5 p.m.

Due to ongoing investigations and the family’s request for independent confirmation of the facts surrounding his death, funeral services have been postponed.
