Eight Hospitalized for Smoke Inhalation After Dundalk House Fire

DUNDALK, Md. (Latestsports) — Early Thursday morning, a house fire in Dundalk sent four adults and four children to the hospital due to smoke inhalation, the Baltimore County Fire Department confirmed.

Emergency crews were called to the 3400 block of Loganview Drive around 2:19 a.m. on January 2. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a house engulfed in flames.

Efforts to contain the fire were swift, with firefighters declaring the blaze under control by 3:26 a.m. Thankfully, no injuries beyond smoke inhalation were reported.

The eight individuals affected, including the four children, were promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed, but officials stated that all were suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released details on what may have sparked the blaze or whether the home had working smoke detectors.
