Texas 121 was closed Friday morning at Stone Myers Parkway due to a crash that killed one person and injured another, according to Grapevine police.
According to authorities, a northbound automobile on Texas 121 around 5 a.m. on Friday, March 21, collided with a railing. The car then tumbled over a wall onto the opposite side of the highway, where it was hit by two southbound vehicles.
According to authorities, the driver died at the site. The driver of one of the other automobiles sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will publicly identify the deceased driver pending notification of next of kin.
The highway was stopped to traffic as cops investigated and cleaned the area. Drivers were encouraged to search for alternative routes.
Detectives are requesting that anybody who witnessed the horrific crash contact them immediately. They would also like to know if any businesses in the neighborhood have surveillance footage of the incident or the events leading up to it.
