Dog Rescued by Coastguard After Falling Over Cliffs at Douglas’ Marine Drive

It was necessary for teams from the Coast Guard to rescue a dog that had fallen off the cliffs at Marine Drive in Douglas.

On Thursday, just after six o’clock in the evening, rescue personnel were called in response to reports that the animal had fallen off the cliffs.

Thankfully, the dog was found free of any injuries and returned to its owner, who was overjoyed to receive it.

Sharing content on Facebook As stated by the Douglas Coastguard, “We were paged by our Marine Operations Centre at 6:04 p.m. to respond to a call for a dog that had gone over the cliff in an area that is known as Horse’s Leap.”

It didn’t take long for the team to arrive at the scene, and once they did, they were able to meet with the owner and other witnesses who had remained on the scene to obtain an exact location.

‘Ramsey Mobile, who were on patrol in Douglas at the time, also came to assist, and the dog was quickly recovered in a healthy and safe condition, and it was returned to its owner.’
