DNA Evidence Links Father to Triple Homicide of His Three Daughters in Washington State

Chelan County, WA – Authorities in Washington state have released new information that connects Travis Decker, 32, to the tragic triple homicide of his three young daughters. DNA evidence found on plastic bags and zip-ties has identified Decker as the lone suspect in the deaths of 9-year-old Paityn, 8-year-old Evelyn, and 5-year-old Olivia, who were found dead in early June 2025.

Suffocation and Evidence Link Decker to Crime Scene

According to Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, the girls were found suffocated with plastic bags over their heads and zip-tied wrists. The authorities confirmed that the DNA found on the bags matched that of Decker and the three victims.

DNA results from zip-ties found at the scene also matched Decker, providing further evidence that he is the only person involved in the murders.

Authorities revealed that two of the girls had two bags over their heads while the third victim had three separate bags.

Decker’s DNA Found in Multiple Places

The DNA analysis also linked Decker to a bloody handprint found on a truck near the crime scene. This evidence solidifies Decker’s involvement, but he remains at large.

Chelan County Sheriff’s Office stated, “The completion of this DNA analysis provides additional evidence that indicates Travis Decker is the only suspect involved in committing these homicides.”

Decker Still on the Run

Despite the new revelations, authorities have not yet located Decker. A reduced footprint from law enforcement agencies and a decline in leads has slowed the search. The manhunt continues, but police are urging the public not to approach Decker if spotted.

Charges Against Decker

Decker has been formally charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping in connection with the deaths of his daughters.

Authorities have warned the public to immediately contact 911 if they encounter Decker and to avoid attempting to approach him. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-800-336-0102.
