FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. —
A woman from Florida was caught bringing cocaine into South Carolina by the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies pulled over a car on I-95 north near the 163-mile sign on July 3, because the driver was going too fast. During the stop, cops had a good reason to think that something illegal was going on, so they searched the car with the driver’s permission. Deputies found 3 kg (6.6 pounds) of cocaine in an aftermarket section of the car while they were searching it.
Deputies say that Carmen Denisse Garcia Roman from Orlando, Florida, was caught and charged with drug dealing. Roman is going to be held at the Florence County Detention Center until his release hearing.
