NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. – A car accident near Newark, Delaware, sent five people to the hospital. Three children and a police officer are among them.
New Castle County police say this happened as the officer was heading east on Christiana Road near Thomas Garrett Drive and a car hit his car as it crossed the grass strip.
The other car had three kids and one adult in it, according to the police. All of them were taken to the hospital in very bad shape. The police officer is not in danger.
The traffic unit of the New Castle County Division of Police arrived at the spot and is now looking into what happened.
