Chicago Woman Faces Attempted Murder Charges in Double Stabbing and Carjacking Incident

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Vanessa Delgado, is a resident of the Clearing neighborhood in Chicago. Police say the incidents began around 7 a.m. in the Garfield Ridge area.
Delgado reportedly approached a 41-year-old woman on South Rutherford Avenue while the woman was walking to her car. According to authorities, Delgado stabbed the woman in her chest and arm before stealing her Nissan Rogue. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Shortly after stealing the vehicle, Delgado allegedly crashed it into a parked car on South Mulligan Avenue. Witnesses reported the crash, and a 30-year-old man nearby came to check on the situation.
