Oildale, CA – A California man recently arrested for the murder of a 62-year-old woman has admitted to the crime, stating it was just the latest chapter in his violent past. In a chilling jailhouse interview, the man revealed he has killed a total of six people but expressed no remorse for most of them.
Murder of Roxana Jo Kelly
On August 9, the body of Roxana Jo Kelly was discovered in a burned-out mobile home at Superior Mobile Home Park in Oildale, California. Authorities believe Kelly was murdered the previous evening, and the home was set on fire afterward.
On August 18, Daniel Graham, 41, and Misha Allen, 42, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
In an exclusive interview, Graham confessed to the murder of Kelly, claiming that the woman owed him a large unpaid debt.
“I feel sorry about what happened to Roxanne but you know, it is what it is,” Graham said during the interview. “I can be your best friend. I can be your worst nightmare.”
Details of the Crime
Graham elaborated on the confrontation that led to Kelly’s death. According to him, Kelly had refused to pay the debt, and a verbal altercation ensued. During this exchange, Kelly allegedly called him several slurs, which Graham said caused him to “lose control.”
“I just – I choked her out,” Graham explained. “I ran behind her and put her in a headlock and I just blacked out.” He added that Kelly’s murder was the only time he had killed a woman in such a manner.
Graham’s Violent Past
In his confession, Graham claimed that all his other victims were male. Although he declined to provide specifics on the identities of the other victims, he stated that three of them were killed in California, and three were from his hometown of Gallup, New Mexico.
“I haven’t seen myself as a human being in a long time,” Graham told. “Since I was 17 years old. Since I took my first life.”
Graham explained that his first murder occurred when he discovered that a man in his family was allegedly molesting a child. According to Graham, he took matters into his own hands by luring the man to a lake, where he killed him.
“I kept my enemy close and invited him to go to a lake with me and went out, had some beers, and went to take a piss, walked up behind him and popped him,” he recounted calmly.
Throughout the interview, Graham referred to himself as a “monster” or “beast”, suggesting that he no longer viewed himself as a human being.
Attempt to Exonerate Allen
In the interview, Graham also insisted that his co-defendant, Misha Allen, was not present during the fire and that another unidentified woman was with him at the time of Kelly’s death. He expressed his intention to exonerate Allen through the interview.
No Remorse for His Actions
When asked reporter Connor Dore if he felt guilty for the lives he had taken, Graham responded coldly, stating: “A couple, yeah. But a couple – not gonna lose any sleep over it.”
Later in the interview, when asked what he thought his sentence should be, Graham said: “I don’t know. If it were up to me, I’d probably get rid of me.”
Reflection on the Other Victims
When questioned about the possibility of revealing the names of his other victims to give their families some closure, Graham responded with indifference:
“Probably,” he said. “But I stopped being good a long time ago.”
Conclusion
Graham’s disturbing confession offers a glimpse into a life defined by violence and apathy. As he faces serious charges, the case has left many wondering about the motivations behind his deadly actions and the lives he claims to have taken.
