The IndianapolisAfter missing the previous five games due to a left groin injury, Aitlin Clark anticipates playing on Wednesday when the Indiana Fever host the Golden State Valkyries.

The All-Star captain took part in a 5-on-5 scrimmage during practice on Monday, which was accessible to season ticket holders. She had not done it since she got injured on June 26. Clark will be able to play on Wednesday, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

After practice on Tuesday, Clark told reporters, “It’s good to get back out there and get back into the flow of playing with my teammates again.” Hopefully, it will be enjoyable to return to the outdoors and experience life once more. I’m eager to go out there because I know it’s difficult to sit and observe for a few weeks.

Clark had his second injury of the year. She has only participated in nine of the team’s eighteen games this season, including the Fever’s victory over the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final. Last month, Clark missed five games due to a left quad ailment.

My goal is to play a fair amount in my upper 20s. According to Clark, “I suppose it depends on how the game goes, how I feel, and what the team needs.” However, I feel rather well. However, I’m going to make an effort to avoid going overboard and to position myself well going forward.
