Bakersfield, Calif. — A coordinated law-enforcement operation near downtown Bakersfield resulted in the discovery of more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, and evidence of large-scale drug sales. One suspect was taken into custody following the search.
Major Drug and Weapons Cache Found During Search
Investigators from the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, a CDCR Special Service Unit agent, and a Bakersfield Police Department detective executed a search warrant on December 4, 2025, in the 4000 block of O Street. The location included an apartment and an associated storage room.
Inside, officers reported locating more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine, roughly $14,000 in cash, two handguns, and packaging materials consistent with drug sales. Authorities say the volume of narcotics and the presence of firearms point to an active and significant distribution operation.
Suspect Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges
The DA’s Office confirmed the arrest of 31-year-old Miguel Aldaco, a Bakersfield resident. He faces allegations including unlawful firearm possession and multiple drug-sales-related charges.
Aldaco later posted bail on the same day, according to officials.
