Local authorities and witnesses confirmed that a huge RV explosion in Massachusetts on Tuesday afternoon badly hurt three men and set at least one of them on fire. They were all taken to hospitals.
Several 911 calls about the blast sent firefighters to a home on Walker Road in the city of Peabody in Essex County, a Peabody Fire Department emergency operator told USA TODAY Wednesday.
About two miles north of Salem is the city.

Three people were hurt in the fire. Two men in their 40s and 70s were flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to get burn care, and a man in his 20s was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Burlington, which is about 17 miles west.
Dowling said the 20-year-old guy was treated for burns on his legs and then let go.
Dowling said that his two cousins were still in the ICU on Wednesday and were in stable condition.
WBZ-TV reported that a grandfather, his son, and his grandson were getting an RV ready for a trip to the Grand Canyon when it blew up and “rocked the whole neighborhood.”
According to the news source, Ring doorbell video caught the blast and a man “running out of the RV on fire before rolling on the ground.”
“We heard a big explosion,” John O’Donnell, a neighbor, told the news source. “When I looked out the window, I saw a lot of smoke rising into the air.” I ran out into the street and saw the RV on fire. I could see flames coming from the house across the street.
