Police in New Jersey say a woman acted “out of control” at a motel pool, biting a police officer and striking a 10-year-old boy and his father. The woman was charged.
In a news release, police said they were called to a motel in the 6200 block of Ocean Avenue in Wildwood Crest on Monday afternoon because of a fight.
Police say that when they got there, witnesses said a very drunk woman, later named as Fallen Turner, 43, was acting “out of control” in the pool.
Turner had grabbed a 10-year-old boy, swung him around in the pool, and then pushed him under there. As the child’s dad tried to stop her, the woman jumped on his back and grabbed him in a bad way.
According to the police, Turner got angry while they were talking to her, which led to her arrest. She fought back against being arrested by pushing the cop in the face as they tried to handcuff her.
Police say the woman was “highly uncooperative and combative” after she got to Wildwood Crest Police Headquarters to be processed. She also bit an officer’s hand.
Police say that neither of the officers that the woman struck was seriously hurt.
Turner is accused of putting children in risk, assaulting police, resisting arrest with violence, criminal sexual contact, not letting fingerprints be taken, harassment, and acting in a disorderly manner.
