Someone from Nevada was arrested for firing a gun near the Idaho border, which police say put children in danger. The man was also charged with shooting a firearm.
A worker at the Love’s gas station in Jackpot called 911 just after 11 p.m. Monday to say that shots had been fired in the area. Police say more shots were fired around the Spanish RV park while officers were looking for the source of the first shots.
A person from the RV park told police that the shots were close and led deputies in the direction of a house. According to the deputies, they found many gun casings on the path leading to the house.
They were stopped when two guys, a man and a woman, got out of the RV.
Two little kids and a used handgun were found in a room during a check. Emigdio Sanchez-Aguilar, 36, was arrested. He was said to have had live bullets in his pocket that matched the spent bullet casings that were found on the ground outside the RV.
The woman (who was not named) and the kids were not hurt.
Sanchez-Aguilar has a $320,000 bail set out for him. The police don’t know why they think he was firing the gun.
