An eight-year-old girl and her father were hurt when someone opened fire on their car in west London. A man has been charged with attempted murder.
After two people were shot in Ladbroke Grove on Sunday, 32-year-old Jazz Reid was charged with two counts of attempted murder and having a gun and ammo.
The child had surgery on Monday and was said to be in safe condition. Her 34-year-old father, on the other hand, has injuries that could change his life.
The girls’ two-year-old brother and 32-year-old mother were in the car with them when they were attacked in Southern Row. Neither of them were hurt.
After the event, which happened around 5:30 p.m., people in the area talked about how shocked they were.
Police in London said Reid, who lives in Kensington in west London, will go to Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who are still asking anyone with knowledge that could help to come forward.
They can call 101 and give the reference number 5238/24NOV24, or they can call the Crimestoppers charity at 0800 555 111 and remain private.
