A Man From Colorado Was Caught for Dui and Cocaine Possession After He Crashed Into a House

CHEYENNE, Wyoming— The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office was called to East Allison Road on May 31 for a crash. Around 10:37 p.m., Deputy Mershon got to the scene and saw that a truck had crashed into a house.

It was seen that 53-year-old Geronimo Angelo Esquibel got out of the driver’s seat. The arrest sheet shows that he admitted to driving the truck. Standardized field sobriety tests were given by Deputy Mershon, and Esquibel did not do well on them. Mershon says there were clear signs that he was impaired by drugs.

A cop found a cocaine bag near where Esquibel was first seen, and another bag was found in the middle console of the truck. The person riding with Esquibel said the drugs in the center console belonged to her and the other bag belonged to Esquibel. The report says that Esquibel’s presumed baggie weighed about 6.2 grams of cocaine and tested positive for it.

Esquibel’s driver’s license had been taken away because he had been DUI in Wyoming before, according to the records. Even though there was a crash, Esquibel was checked out by doctors and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without any problems.

Esquibel is charged with many things, such as driving while high on drugs, having cocaine on the person, and driving while license is suspended.
