A Boater in the Florida Keys Finds Coke Worth $1 Million That Has Bald Eagles on It Floating in the Water

A package with about 21 individually wrapped kilograms was found by mariners on a private vessel on Saturday, according to the officials.

The U.S. Border Patrol said that a boater found 65 pounds of cocaine worth about $1 million moving in the Florida Keys.

A bald eagle was on the front of each package. They were found around noon on Saturday when “mariners in a private vessel found a package containing approximately 21 individually wrapped kilograms of suspected cocaine” about 7 miles off of Islamorada, according to a Facebook post from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Acting Chief Patrol Agent Samuel Briggs II said on X that the Border Patrol would take the drugs away. He also said that he appreciated the help of the people who turned in the drugs.
