A man who was hired to work on a roof died on the job, but cops say his body wasn’t found until after a block party a few days later.
Burbank Police said that on November 23, someone reported seeing a “male who was not responding” on the roof of a building in the 3500 block of West Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank, California. Police and paramedics were called and went to the scene.
Officers started trying to save the man’s life right away, but police said he was declared dead.
Police said they found the man who “had been hired to do some work on the roof and had died while doing the work.”
The police don’t think there were any signs of foul play or stress in the case.
Police haven’t said what his name is or how old he is. At first, it wasn’t clear who found the man on the roof.
The man’s family reported him missing on Friday, but his body wasn’t found until Saturday, according to KTLA. He had last been seen on Thursday.
Burbank’s annual Holiday in the Park event took place on November 22. There was live music, a holiday shop, an art fair, a chance to take a picture with Santa, and food trucks. Large parts of Magnolia Boulevard are closed off by the city.
The roofer’s body was found at a shop in those blocked-off areas, the news source said.
Police said that the Los Angeles County Coroner Investigator came and will be in charge of the probe.
