Three days ago, a woman was found dead in a motel room. A 41-year-old guy from Hamilton is now being charged with murder.
At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police found a 48-year-old woman dead in Room 140 at the Cove Motel, 2800 Dixie Hwy. This was about 24 hours after police say Marlowe Matthews broke into the room on Friday night. Police say Matthews stayed in the room for a while and then left at 3 a.m. on Sunday.
The rescuers got to the scene and found Yolanda M. Wilson not breathing. They then checked her over and found that she was dead. Wilson’s head was hit hard several times, which could be seen.
A police report says that video from the Cove Motel showed that no one had entered or left Room 140 between when Matthews left and when the cops and medics arrived.
Police say that Matthews and Wilson’s last known home was at the Cove Motel, so they don’t know where they live. In the Hamilton Municipal Court, Matthews’ case is still being worked on.
