Massport tells the CDC because of worries about sick people getting off of flights that land in Boston

Two planes arrived in Boston on Sunday afternoon, and some crew members or passengers were “complaining of illness.” This caused officials to call the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Massachusetts Port Authority owns and runs Boston’s Logan International Airport. A spokesperson for the authority said that the sick people were on Delta and Avianca planes that arrived in the city “around the same time.”

The representative told Boston 25 News, “It’s possible that the strong winds affected the flights, but I couldn’t say that for sure.” Because we wanted to be safe, we called the CDC.

A spokesperson said that at least two of the sick people were taken to the hospital after the plane landed.

A Delta spokesperson told Boston 25 on Monday afternoon that no passengers on Delta Flight 225 from Paris to Boston reported being sick, but two Delta flight staff members on board went to the hospital because they were feeling sick.

On Monday, no one knew what was wrong with them. A Delta representative, on the other hand, said that there was no involvement from the public health authorities and that the two flight attendants were checked out by EMTs when they got to Boston. Because of this, there were no delays or cancellations.

A reporter from Boston 25 News also called Avianca Airlines to find out more.
