HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that a teen was charged with murder after a woman was found stabbed to death in the backyard of a home in northwest Harris County.
At about 7 p.m. on July 20, deputies were called to Sunshine Meadow Drive in the Hockley area for help. A few days later, Gonzalez said that the victim was Dana Magnuson, who is 62 years old. He said she was involved in her neighborhood.
HCSO says Magnuson’s son told officers that his mother had been found dead in the backyard.
Gonzalez said on July 29 that the suspect, a boy aged 15, had been caught and charged. Gonzalez says that he is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
