Three people were caught in Arizona on charges that they planned to rent out a dead person’s house and sell two of their cars.
Police said that when he was caught, he was found with stolen items from a dead person.
Fox 10 Phoenix reported that Kevin Andrew Strawbridge, 38, Jami Demaria, 30, and Cheyenne Keller, 29, were all arrested after the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office looked into reports of thieves living in the home of a dead person in the Pebble Lake area for a month.
An official statement from the department that the outlet got read, “During the investigation, Deputies learned that [Strawbridge] and his partner, [Demaria], were guilty of illegally renting out the deceased’s home.” “Strawbridge and Demaria were also found to be responsible for the theft of three of the decedent’s vehicles and the sale of two of the vehicles.”
Police in Arizona say a man tried to kill his parents because he was “upset over his upbringing.”
The police said Keller had signed the signatures of Stawbridge and Demaria on the titles of the cars. Fox 10 reported that she is also being charged with breaking into a man’s home and stealing his car while he was in the military another case.
According to the sheriff’s office, officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia, two guns, two stolen cars, one stolen car that hadn’t been reported, and property that had been reported stolen by other victims while carrying out one of five search warrants in the case on May 10.
Strawbright, Demari, and Keller were all charged with felonies for working together to commit theft and plots to do so.
Strawbridge was also charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and possession of stolen goods. All of these charges are felonies. The sheriff’s office says he was also arrested for breaking into the home of another dead person in the area.
Demari is also being charged with burglary and selling stolen goods.
Keller and Wolf were found at one of the places searched as part of the investigation. They are also being charged with felonies for having drugs and guns without a permit.
The department said that they are still looking into it. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office could not be reached for feedback at the time of this writing.
