Police are actively seeking a suspect following an incident where an employee was slashed during a robbery at a 99-cent store in Brooklyn.
The altercation occurred at the store located at 1131 Fulton St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant. According to authorities, the suspect entered the store and attempted to exit with stolen merchandise.
Upon being confronted by a store employee, the suspect resorted to violence, striking the employee with an unidentified sharp object and inflicting a laceration to the victim’s head.
Emergency Medical Services promptly transported the injured employee to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The perpetrator fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on Fulton Street. As of now, no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
