Laredo, TX – A 20-year-old man allegedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s house early Friday morning, jumping on the hood of her new boyfriend’s car, which led to a violent confrontation that ended with the new suitor being stabbed, according to police.

Ex-Boyfriend Attacks Vehicle, Sparks Violent Confrontation

Christian Fonseca reportedly arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s residence on St. Pierre Lane in Laredo at around 1:48 a.m. on Friday. Cops say Fonseca began attacking the hood of his ex’s new boyfriend’s car, prompting the boyfriend to step outside and confront the 20-year-old.

The altercation escalated quickly, with Fonseca allegedly attempting to barge into the house to reach his ex-girlfriend. The two men then began scuffling, and during the fight, Fonseca allegedly stabbed the new boyfriend. Authorities say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack.

Police Arrest Suspect After Violent Outburst

After the stabbing, police were called to the scene by the ex-girlfriend, who reported the incident. Fonseca was found several houses away from the scene and arrested. The Laredo Police Department confirmed that Fonseca had been under a criminal trespass warning due to prior harassment complaints filed by his ex-girlfriend.

Court records show that Fonseca had previously been arrested in August for resisting arrest and criminal trespass, following earlier incidents involving his ex-girlfriend. He was released on bond after his previous arrests, but it remains unclear if those charges were related to the woman involved in this latest confrontation.

The Laredo Police Department has not responded to requests for comment or additional information regarding the case.
