Duwan’s mother, Keshia Morgan, shared her grief on a GoFundMe page, describing her son as a vibrant, caring young man with a promising future. “A senseless shootout led to a stray bullet entering my home, striking my beloved son Duwan Morgan, who was only 14 years old,” she wrote. “This loss has left an indescribable void in our lives.”

According to Duwan’s aunt, Erica Davis, the shooting occurred after two groups of teens became involved in an argument, which escalated to gunfire. At least one bullet from the altercation struck Duwan’s bedroom, killing him while he was innocently playing video games.
“He was minding his business, doing nothing,” said Davis. “Just sitting in his room. And now he’s gone.”
