Lenoir County Deputies Arrest Dover Woman Following Drug Discovery During Traffic Stop

Lenoir County, NC – A routine traffic stop in Lenoir County ended with a woman being arrested on multiple drug charges Saturday after deputies discovered illegal substances and paraphernalia.

Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Highway 70 East near Highway 58 South for expired registration and inspection and a driver operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

The driver was identified as 45-year-old Latoya Whitted from Dover.

Discovery of Illegal Substances

During the stop, deputies reported finding illegal narcotics along with drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. This discovery led to Whitted’s arrest on several charges, including:

In addition, deputies learned that Whitted had an outstanding warrant from Craven County for Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
