St. John the Baptist Parish, LA – Four people were arrested Wednesday, Sept. 17, following a narcotics investigation that uncovered methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and a stolen firearm, authorities said.
Initial Investigation and Arrest of Kemone Clofer
The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that the investigation began in July 2025 targeting 33-year-old Kemone Clofer of Reserve. On Sept. 17, Clofer was arrested, and detectives searched his residence. Officials recovered:
- 600 methamphetamine tablets
- Approximately 28 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- Over a pound of marijuana
- A stolen firearm
- $4,000 in cash
Clofer faces multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of controlled substances.
Vehicle Pursuit Leads to Three More Arrests
Later on Sept. 17, a vehicle pursuit in LaPlace resulted in the arrest of three additional suspects:
- 38-year-old Derrence Greenup of LaPlace
- 41-year-old Brandon Roy of Reserve
- 33-year-old Dominique Berry of New Orleans
During the pursuit, police said the occupants threw narcotics out of the vehicle windows. Law enforcement recovered the discarded drugs, including:
- Around 134 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- Approximately 58 grams of cocaine
- 129 methamphetamine tablets
- 43 alprazolam tablets
- Over a pound of marijuana
All three suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

Officials noted that this operation was the result of weeks of coordinated investigative work by the parish narcotics division. The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that these arrests represent a significant effort to reduce illegal drug activity in St. John the Baptist Parish.
