Massachusetts Man Arrested for Allegedly Taking “Upskirt” Photos of Women and Minors at Hingham Stores

According to the Hingham Police Department, Aedan Ford allegedly took secret photos under the skirts of women and girls at the Derby Street Shops, using one hand to hold his cellphone and the other to push a shopping cart reportedly carrying his own child.

“Especially when you’re in a public place, there’s other people around, and people wouldn’t be suspicious by someone carrying their phone. We all carry our phone in our hands,” said Hingham Police Lt. Steven Dearth.

Surveillance video reportedly shows Ford bending over, pretending to look under fruit displays while extending his phone beneath victims’ skirts.

Incidents Involving Minors

Court documents indicate two incidents involved minors under 18, including alleged upskirt photos taken in a Kohl’s store. Investigators described Ford’s pattern as egregious, raising concern that he might continue the behavior if not caught.

Another shopper observed the behavior and alerted store managers, prompting police intervention Hingham Police Department.

Arrest and Court Proceedings

Ford was arrested at his Hanover home on Monday and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment. Court restrictions include:

  • No unsupervised contact with minors (except his own children)
  • Staying away from the Derby Street Shops

He is scheduled to return to court in October.
