Hotter, More Humid Weekend Expected in Cleveland with Storm Chance on Sunday

Cleveland, OH – After a seasonal and dry Thursday, the weather will take a turn towards heat and humidity as we head into the weekend. Temperatures are expected to warm up into the mid to upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday, making it feel much hotter, while humidity levels also climb.

Isolated Storm Chance Thursday, Drying Out for the Weekend

Thursday will bring isolated thunderstorms, but the majority of the area will see a seasonal, dry day. The high will reach 82º, with comfortable humidity levels that won’t be overwhelming.

Heat and Humidity Return for the Weekend

As we move into Friday and Saturday, the weather will dry out, giving way to a warmer and more humid weekend. On Saturday, temperatures will climb to around 88º, with the possibility of reaching into the 90s by Sunday. The weekend’s high heat means you should plan on keeping water handy if you’re attending outdoor events like the News 5K.

Isolated Storms Possible Sunday, but Rain Holds Off Until Monday

Sunday will bring more humidity and the chance for an isolated storm, but overall, the better chances for rain and storms will arrive with the start of the work week. The forecast for Sunday calls for a high of 89º.

Cooler Temperatures in Store for Next Week

A pattern change is expected by the middle of next week, as a cold front ushers in cooler air for NEO. Highs could dip to the 70s as we move into Tuesday and Wednesday, providing a much-needed break from the recent heat and humidity.
