19-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Deadly Shooting in Orangeburg, SC

Orangeburg, SC – A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured in Orangeburg County last week, authorities confirmed.

Deadly Shooting on Navy Drive

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to a home on Navy Drive around 9 p.m. Thursday after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, deputies found 21-year-old Alexander Bloodworth lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, Bloodworth died at the scene.

A woman present at the home was also shot and injured, according to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. Her current condition has not been released.

Suspect Identified and Arrested

Authorities have charged Trivinci Mack, 19, with:

  • Murder
  • Attempted murder
  • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime

Sheriff Ravenell condemned the senseless act, saying:

“Any way you look at it, it does not make any sense whatsoever. One person is gone, and another threw his life away. And for what? Nothing.”

Court Appearance Scheduled

According to officials, Mack is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. Details regarding bond and legal representation have not yet been made public.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the motive behind the shooting and has not released additional details about what led to the violence.
