State College, PA – A stretch of sunny, warm weather will continue across Central Pennsylvania through midweek, with temperatures peaking in the mid-80s and little precipitation expected, according to the National Weather Service.
Mid-80s Heat Dominates Through Wednesday
Residents can expect a consistent pattern of partly sunny skies, light winds, and daytime highs reaching into the mid-80s through Wednesday. The overnight lows will remain mild, hovering in the low to mid-60s, offering limited relief from daytime heat.
“A calm, dry pattern continues across Central PA through midweek,” said forecasters at the NWS State College Office.
Humidity levels are forecast to stay manageable, preventing the heat from feeling oppressive. Winds will be light, primarily from the southeast during the afternoon hours.
Slight Chance of Showers Wednesday Night
A weak upper-level disturbance could bring a slight chance of showers late Wednesday night, with current projections showing only a 20% probability. Despite this, most areas are expected to remain dry.
No thunderstorms or severe weather are expected with this system, and skies will clear again by Thursday.
Clear, Comfortable Conditions to End the Week
Thursday through Saturday will see continued sunshine and dry weather, with daily highs in the low to mid-80s. Overnight temperatures will trend cooler as the week progresses, dropping into the upper 50s to low 60s.
“Expect mostly sunny skies and pleasant evenings heading into the weekend,” meteorologists noted.

As the weekend approaches, temperatures are expected to climb again. Sunday’s forecast calls for highs approaching 87°F, signaling the return of hotter conditions as August unfolds.
