3 Injured in Multi-vehicle Crash on Crain Highway — 1 Airlifted With Critical Injuries

Thursday morning, emergency workers responded to a catastrophic multi-vehicle incident that injured three people and airlifted one to a trauma facility.

The collision happened just before 7:45 a.m. on April 10, 2025, at the intersection of Crain Highway and Holly Lane. First responders came in minutes and immediately freed at least one trapped resident.

Several persons were evaluated on the scene for injuries ranging from knee and arm pain to significant trauma. Maryland State Police requested a MEDEVAC helicopter to remove one patient who had possibly critical injuries.

Trooper 2 from the Maryland State Police Aviation Command landed at a designated landing zone near Hamilton Road and Raby Avenue before airlifting the patient to MedStar Trauma Center.

Two more patients were transported by ground to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crews stayed on the site for more than an hour to provide health treatment and protect the area.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
