Western Mass Under Wind Advisory Gusts May Hit 50 MPH, ICY Patches Possible Early

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of western Massachusetts from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph, so use caution if you’re traveling or spending time outdoors.

Morning Commute:

Watch out for patchy ice early Tuesday morning. Give yourself a few extra minutes to get where you’re going safely. Winds will begin increasing by mid-morning.

Afternoon Conditions:

Expect peak wind gusts over 40 mph during the mid-afternoon hours. High temperatures will range from the low to mid-40s, with a mix of sun and clouds and the possibility of a few passing flurries.

Tuesday Night:

It will remain windy with a few clouds moving through. Low temperatures will drop into the 20s, so bundle up if you’re heading out.

Looking Ahead – Wednesday:

Wednesday will be the brightest and sunniest day of the week. However, be prepared for the return of rain later in the week, continuing into the weekend.
