A woman was killed, and two children were hospitalized following a late-night crash in Phoenix, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday near 43rd and Dunlap Avenues, involving two vehicles, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Charlene Quinones, 32, was transported to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The two children sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators determined that Quinones was driving south on 43rd Avenue when another vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with her car.
The other driver showed signs of impairment but was processed and released pending further investigation. Possible criminal charges will depend on toxicology results and accident reconstruction findings.
