Crash Involving 18-wheeler Blocks Lanes on I-30, Spills Traffic Onto I-20 in Fort Worth

An 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle collided Wednesday afternoon, causing a massive traffic jam on two highways in far west Fort Worth, according to officials.

Several police and fire engines were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 at Walsh Ranch Parkway around 12:45 p.m., according to the 911 call record. Someone reported that roads were obstructed due to an accident involving a semi and another car.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation website, the shoulders and main lanes on both sides of I-30 were shut.

Photos from TxDOT cameras show traffic backed up on Interstate 20, which joins with I-30 in far west Fort Worth.

According to MedStar, two people had minor injuries in the incident.
