60-year-old Man Killed in Early Morning Crash at Busy South Jersey Intersection

A man was hit and killed at the intersection of two busy South Jersey roadways early Tuesday.

Around 2:20 a.m. on April 1, 2025, the driver of a Mitsubishi Eclipse collided with a 60-year-old Sewell man as he drove from U.S. Route 130 northbound into the ramp for Interstate 76 in Gloucester City, Camden County, according to New Jersey State Police.

The motorist hit Douglas Cella as he entered the car’s path, according to state police. Cella died of his injuries.

Police stated no one in the automobile was wounded.

Before darkness fell, the wrecked Mitsubishi could be spotted near the scene of the incident.
