MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Three more arrests were made Thursday in connection with a July 2024 shooting caught on surveillance camera in southwest Miami-Dade. Brandon Maurice Vickers, 39, Keenan Devonte Clark, 22, and Herbert Melville Sheck Jarrett, 20, were arrested for attempted premeditated murder, discharging a lethal missile, and using or displaying a handgun while committing a felony.

Vickers faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted criminal.

On Friday afternoon, all three were being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre, with their bail marked as “to be set.”

Glenn Cassis, 25, a fourth suspect, was arrested last year on counts of attempted premeditated murder, shooting or throwing a dangerous missile, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and using a firearm to conduct a crime.

A white automobile is seen approaching the intersection of Southwest 216th Street and 120th Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. on July 21, 2024, according to CCTV footage. The doors swing open, two people jump out of the car, and bullets are fired.

Soon after, you can see a black automobile stop behind the white one. A door opens, and more shots are fired. A separate angle shows a man strolling down the street moments before the incident occurred. Police said the subjects were shooting at that man.

Officers received three ShotSpotter alerts and arrived at the junction to discover 33-year-old Tristum Hobbs on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.

Authorities say he was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Officers on the site stated they discovered over 100 expended shot casings.

Police claimed Cassis was detained later that morning after a detective noticed him entering the black sedan seen in the video.

According to an arrest request, a tipster alerted officers that Vickers, Clark, and Jarrett were engaged in the shooting and had attempted to “discard and otherwise hide the weapons used.”

Police said the tipster’s information was supported by additional evidence gathered during the investigation.

The motivation for the shooting remains unknown.
