2 Women Shot in West Side Drive-By Incident, Police Investigating

CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A shocking drive-by shooting on Chicago’s West Side left two women critically injured early this morning. The incident occurred near California and Fulton around 12:45 a.m., according to Chicago police.

The victims, aged 22 and 23, were driving when a man they didn’t know got out of another vehicle and opened fire on their car. Both women were struck multiple times but managed to drive themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Despite their injuries, they arrived at the hospital in time to receive emergency medical care. Initially, their condition was reported as critical, but further updates on their recovery have not yet been shared.

The attacker fled the scene, and no arrests have been made so far. Authorities are actively investigating the incident and searching for leads.
