ANDERSON, Ind. – A 14-year-old kid died late Tuesday after being hit by a car while walking down the street, according to the Anderson Police Department.
The victim’s name has not been disclosed. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Anderson Police Department was summoned to the 100 block of South Scatterfield Road at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a complaint of an automobile crash involving a pedestrian.
When first responders came, they found the teen laying in the road. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators eventually discovered that the youngster was strolling on the road when he was struck by a car traveling south. They did not indicate whether any other variables contributed to the catastrophe.
