A multi-vehicle crash in Carson on Friday night killed one person and left three others hospitalized.
Just after 4 p.m., Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies went to the crash at Figueroa Street and Sepulveda Boulevard.
Four automobiles were involved in the fatal crash. One of the automobiles was heading southbound on Figueroa Street when it collided with three other cars at the intersection, according to LASD.
Photos from the site show extensive damage to all vehicles, including one that was fully demolished and crushed.
Paramedics arrived to the scene and pronounced one individual deceased. Three more persons were taken to the hospital in unclear circumstances. A fourth person was treated on the scene and released.
It’s unknown what caused the disaster, and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy are still being investigated. The victim’s identify was not revealed.
Roads in the neighborhood were stopped while deputies cleared the scene.
